Obviously we are over manned in the Maddog. It will be interesting if the company tries to balance manning with excess bids or vacancy bids. It seems that excess bids bring about a lot of training cycles and the opportunity for POP. I also think the company is overmanned based on current economic conditions, but 3600 pilots no way. 4000 in my estimate would be very tight and the company would be dependent on draft and volunteer. I guess we will we in the next couple of months.
Which FCIF are you looking at? Posting 13-04 shows the fleet plan out to May 2015. Compared to May 2013 we are gaining 17 757's, 14 767's, 2 777's, and 1 MD-11. We are losing 9 Airbus and 20 MD-10's. Those are the numbers operating...not the actual fleet airframe total. Looks to me like an addition of 5 operating aircraft to the fleet.

+1

Also, we certainly won't let two 777 pilots jumpseat on the same flight, in case they get an opportunity to be in the back together by themselves!
