SoCal, will all due respect, you would be crazy to leave a capt major job to go to UPS.

$160/hr times zero = zero.

And if you were not furloughed, you would be displaced every year, at least, and the schedules are miserable for the junior.

Points very well taken. Thank you.

Start March 24, I believe. Due to LOA, they were recalled to ANC, but they were included in the last bid. I think most went to SDF, but not positive.

No news of further recalls. Rumors (ha ha) that rest will be recalled over next few months, so they will be trained by peak. If true, I would guess next recalls in May/June and final group in July/Aug, but this is speculative. Notices have to go out at least 30 days prior.

Bottom 4 are A300 SDF. Then a few above them landed B757 SDF.

I think you are correct.

1 former IPA MD11 FO who crossed during the furlough.
1 former IPA DC-8 FE who crossed during the furlough.
1 girl from Airtran/AF straight to management.

To add to this, there was an ANC 744 basic indoc instructor who was recently in the process of being "upgraded" to Flight Qualified status. From teaching the life raft to 744 Captain in a couple years. Unbelievable. However, this individual has since departed UPS. Those other indoc guys in ANC are chomping at the bit to become flight qualified.
