Albie's option but only for 2### or Xtras. All bid pack trips use current open time first come first serve. But non-bid pack trips should be open for say 5 minutes...senior guy gets it. I would never get one this way, but I never get them now due to fraud, not lack of seniority.

As a guy who lived on open time for years, but now looks at being a bottom 10% captain for a looong time before (hopefully) too long, I am now endorsing what I once was against-- a Delta-ish seniority based open time. Why? Because since about Fall 2011 something broke. The same cast of guys always wins. I will lose more than most if we go to that system. Alas--I think it is the best overall solution. BOTS, inside info, or other malfeasance may be in play, but I can show you on my calendar when (something) happened. You cannot always win every quickdraw contest. KB's open time chimes do not explain month after month of similar success. So lets go back to what we know is legit, even if it stings some (like me). I prefer being screwed by my senioroty than screwed by any co-workers.

They ARE cheating the system - have been for YEARS.
I believe Management has already identified it.
I believe Management has already investigated it.
It is apparent that Management has chosen to do nothing about it.
Don't hold your breath for anyone to be punished or for it to stop.
Blocking your calendar is an obvious red flag.
Posting a rationalization here on APC while continuing to block your calendar is an even more obvious red flag. I'm not buying any of it.

Sorry Albie but I completely disagree. Schedules are way more important here than at other airlines. In addition seniority is very, very stagnant here - unlike Delta. I've been in just about the same exact % in my seat for the past 7 years. In addition I don't think there's any chance something like that would pass - it's been asked of the NC and MEC before and been shot down. Here we've got a few possible winners (and that's what they are because I've read absolutely nothing saying they've done ONE THING outside of the CBA) that, through their efficiency are getting some great trips. That's it. Guys, get over it. This talk about the ALPA Code of Ethics violations - please. If you've got some sort of proof then by all means put it out there but stop making blanket accusations. By the way - I have zero fight - not even and MEM MD-11 guy.

The biggest problem is the inconsistencies with how "good deal" open time trips are assigned. And since the same individuals get them all the time the perception exists that something fishy is going on. Case in point.
Scenario 1: The past week there were 3-4 great x-pairings (international double deadheads). They were frozen for about 4-5 days for everybody to see. Now mind you there are probably a lot of people with legitimate OTP because of all the weather cancellations in IND, EWR, etc over the past month. Were these great trips unfrozen and made available at the normal time in the morning when trips are processed? No, they were made available at some random, obscure time in the afternoon and processed almost instantaneously. Not allowing individuals with legitimate OTP the opportunity to request them. The recipients of these trips the same cast of characters.
Scenario 2. Another good deal trip is available in open time (previous months). It is not processed for 5-7 hours. Half a day later you get the "Earlier Time Stamp". You look and again the same cast of characters got the trip. Did they get it because of OTP?
Why did they process one trip instaneously and the other take 5-7 hours to process? And since it benefited the same people, is something fishy going on? Until everything is on the up an up, there is going to be the perception that guys like, Lakeside, are cheating the system some way.

I contend not that many have OTP of that amount i.e., more than 50 hrs and most don't use it as a giant trump card. I also contend they are checking all day. So, scenario 1, it is unfzn, you put in and within a minute I put in OTP.... I win. Scenario 2, I am checking all the time, so I put in within a minute or two with OTP, you put in immediately with normal make up or a trade, or you put in 5 minutes later with OTP..... I still win.
Scheds does weird things. Had a trip drop last saturday night. I submitted, denied for 8/24... because there wasn't an rfo trip built with it. I called them, "resubmit and we will process it". Denied, scheduler called me and said that trip is gonna change so they froze it. 5 minutes later, its gone. It had unfrozen and someone else put in for it, while I was busy. I agree the perception is there. Both the company and pro-stans has addressed it. Maybe, I am being naive, but even if they didn't care, would they really pass up a shot to thump on someone? They have done so much more with so much less.

If you're a fedex guy it affects you. Really, you need to find another hobby. You make zero sense.

Oh I see, if I don't agree with you I make zero sense. Like I said before, you're the worst type of F/O at FedEx. "Agree with me or leave". Please go back to flying passengers Anthrax because you really are toxic.

Oh, and FYI, no one says OMG but teenager girls ... and you. And even the most inept airbus captain can spell doosh, you douche.
I never flew pax and don't intend to. I simply answered a question about the corporate cultural at fedex, and why leaving to fly passengers wouldn't be such a terrible decision.
And please, I'm a joy to fly with. But you would never know because I doubt your authenticity (keep your dictionary handy). If you were a captain, which I highly doubt, I certainly know your type. All of your inane jokes are totally hilarious, and everyone takes themselves way too seriously, ROTFL (that's: rolling on the floor laughing, but you already knew that .. OMG!). You're the fun guy, Mr. Popular, ready to laugh at the drop of a hat. You're the guy who says that people make this job more difficult than it needs to be, that's you. Or would be, if you did, in fact, belong. You have glasses, gray hair and bad teeth, subsequently bad breath (but this is a safe bet). Oh, I could go on, but this is starting to feel cruelly spot on, and remember, I'm a charm.
Then again, I could be wrong. So please, don't get your panties in a wad. Ha ha. Oh My God, I'm so funny! Am I right, or am I right? Right?
