One if the problems is that it is not eye opening. For UPS, maybe, but not for the industry.

If you read the Delta threads, there are FOs in the 5-6 year range making that with their "green slips/rolling thunder". Some FOs have said they make as much as you.

Please tell that incredibly bad speller TP to go back to AA so he'll quit his "sky is falling" drivel on the B&G.

Good, hope they are senior to me! I also know several furloughed AA guys who said they would never go back.

UPS is a great job overall. The pay is eye opening- most F/Os I fly with make about 180-220K. I made over 300 in '14.

The men and women I fly with all enjoy their work generally and people that they fly with. If you choose a career here, you and your family will do well.

Peace out-
LMAO.....that Louisville night scene is full of disgruntled walking dead. After that for sure he would withdraw his application. The only reason I've made it this long is because I never have to go through there.

Only works if you are pretty senior in the seat. I was there 7 years and never had a green slip, not even close to rolling thunder.

I'm also expecting a raise, are you? Should be a fairly decent bump.

UPSpilott...

How long have you been here...in another thread you referenced "short time", so have you put in your apps with the legacies? If not, why not? If I was as unhappy as you appear to be, I would be selling insurance or used cars before I would stay at a job that I hated.

Not trying to stir the pot; if you're actually past V1 at ups, I pity being you and feeling like you do for the rest of your flying career. Life is too short to be totally unhappy as you appear to be in your posts.

Frats,

Calling it like it is makes me miserable? I'm actually quite happy as I know what my options are. No I haven't passed "career v1"....UPS ain't so great that I will commit to this place for the rest of my career given their sickening recent history.

As for other guys preaching patient.....isn't a decade long enough to give a company a chance to right the ship? Let's not kid ourselves, this company will never grow again with the IPA being any part of that growth. They have figured it out and the way business is conducted we will continue to shrink out of existence. It is foolish to sit here and give them a chance when everything they've done in the last 8-9 years has been to undermine the unioned pilots.

I predict the TA to be a bombshell on this pilot group. It's going to get ugly!

UPSpilott...

You never answered my question...how long have you been here? You say you're not past "career v1" and clearly hate being here and you think the future is grim. Why, exactly, are you still here then?

You predict our TA will be a bombshell...based on what? The last contract was a huge improvement over its predecessor and this EB is far more capable and less dramatic than the last group we had negotiating. I predict good things...but it will only happen when ups decides..that is the nature of the RLA..it's stacked in the company's favor.

If I were in your shoes and hated ups so much, I would be working at Delta tomorrow in a heartbeat..along with no A-plan and preferential bidding.

I'm interested (as well as some others on the forum) to hear your thoughts on the above...as well as what month/year you were hired.
