International flights only. PHX-ABE-TPA-PHX will need a crew change.

Actually, unless something's changed that I missed; you can block 12 hours Internationally with 2 pilots. We used to do it on the 747 all the time. It cannot be SCHEDULED for more than 12 hours....

I'm sure the next 16.5 months will make all the difference in your prognostication becoming true.

The timeline I was referring to has changed a little, huh? Incidentally, you realize the icon you use for your screen name is a gay guy, right?

You a homophobe? That's not cool in today's world.

You must have been on a classic, then, if you were operating under 121. We did it all the time in the DC-8, too, with an FE.

8 hours in 24 is the limit, domestic or international, with only two pilots on board.

The "smartass" is well aware that Neal Patrick Harris, a gay actor, played character Barney Stinson, a hyper-sexual straight man on "How I Met Your Mother".

Neither here nor there.

To answer your question, NO, the timeline to your prognostication, which was "world's largest overnight parcel delivery service within the next two years" has not changed.

I didn't go back in the thread to get the context, but the max block in 24 is nine hours from what I understand. As long as the report time is between 5 AM and 8 PM domicile time.

That sounds like those fancy 117 regs, no place for those on a CARGO forum!

Yep!

And until someone puts a half million pounds into the burbs due to fatigue it will never change.

Oh or if UPS or FedEx writes a rubber check to a super PAC....yeah that might do it.

How to apply for Prime Air?

Apply to the ABX or Atlas. However in the ABX hiring thread you claim to have turned down their offer for employment. Sounds like you are out of luck.

Perhaps a little research? "Prime Air" is NOT an employer!

ME109G 08-22-2016 07:54 PM

Yes I did. However, I've seen Prime Air aircraft in SEA and it has an awesome paint job. I was just wondering how do they hire their pilots? I thought that's a different company from ATSG or Atlas.

Nope. It should have been made pretty crystal clear in your interview.

Always an important aspect when looking for employment. I'd say how snazzy the uniform is as a close second.

Just wait until you get a look at the inside.

Got a new name for ME109......
"Clueless in Seattle"

ME109G 08-23-2016 11:36 AM

That's ok motor. That proves again how much of an ********* the ABX pilot group would be if you are its representative. Like I said you guys through the years smelled too much each other farts. Maybe with the new blood and some of you getting replaced ABX people to do not suck as much. For 20 years, you lost majority of pilot force, and only a thread kept you in business. Now, because Amazon got into aviation, all of the sudden ABX is next to God. It's still a long way there, and wait few years. Maybe ain't gonna work and you guys go back to crapper. In aviation nobody knows tomorrow.

motorclutch 08-23-2016 11:48 AM

Should I bring with me a tube of Gynolotrimine for your recent flare up?

ME109G 08-23-2016 03:45 PM

You don't like it grumpy old man, do you?

ME109G 08-23-2016 04:03 PM

And just to make it clear. It was my choice and right to turn down ABX job offer. It's not for everybody. You don't have to feel offended or threaten by that. I wish the best to ATSG group and many future hirings. I've been waiting for this pilot shortage for more than 20 years. My generation got screwed but maybe the new ones will do better. The only advice I can give is that aviation is a funny business. Today can be up, tomorrow might be fracked. Appreciate what you have now and don't try to think you are the god's chosen one for working to a presently decent company. Tomorrow everything can go to hell. Ask so many great airlines which overnight disappeared.
BTW Amazon experiment in UK doesn't do that good.

Reading this post, it is obvious you don't like ABX people. And you were offered a position at ABX, but turned it down. Now you are asking how to apply to Prime Air. This post is confusing in so many ways, and frankly is a lot of babble. Maybe doing some research on ACMI carriers will help you. Seriously.

motorclutch 08-23-2016 04:24 PM

.....are you saying that because you refused a job offer at ABX i feel threatened? Ive been here a long time.....just long enough to know that the whiners and complainers never made it here......

good luck in your future job searched:D

ME109G 08-23-2016 04:59 PM

Almost, it seems you are not a very sharp person. Asking about how to apply, it doesn't mean to necessarily apply. I thought Prime Air is a new carrier. At least that's what some people say here, including that is an West Florida International or so certificate. I know crop about the company. I just saw the plane and asked. I even didn't know it existed until the moment I saw the plane. I didn't know asking about Prime is a crime of Laesa Maiestas toward ABX? Motor, I " much appreciate " your wishes but I have a job. Not as good as yours, but stable and home based, which is very important to me. Meanwhile good luck in building that new ABX bubble.

"They" (Prime Air) don't hire pilots.

Google "Prime Air Seattle Seafair" and you will gain a wealth of knowledge.

jetdriven 08-23-2016 07:03 PM

Will there be more Amazon flying out of SEA?

Spell check Nazi time: I think it is spelled "Gyne-Lotrimin". At least that is how it shows up on searches, including Amazon product search. You must have been fatigued after being up all night. I'd hate to see you type "KILM" into the CDU when you meant "KILN". Saw a guy in the other seat do that accidentally once.

All the same, got your point about "ME109G". He/she demonstrates a lack of basic knowledge about the industry. Maybe ME109G should apply to DHL for a pilot position. After all, there are some bright yellow aircraft with "DHL" painted on them.

How to I apply to DHL, I hear they pay their pilots pretty good wages and have great work rules....

"Dr Doogie loves ****..." That's how I broke the news to my wife when he came out.

When I want to really **** her off I tell her I think Keanu Reeves does too...
