Probably the reason why I hear that even the DO and members of his little click are staring to panic and look for jobs elsewhere.

Swift:

Doubt it. From what has been been heard around the block, its mostly local carriers with bases in S. FL. Can't see them commuting or moving to the Northeast for NAI.

Its official. The MOU has been inked with Swift. The pilots left at EA have been told to expect a merger starting in early June completed by year end. The EA name will survive and supposedly the certificate will be turned in. Details will be forthcoming by end of month on pay, seniority list intergration, etc. Will be interesting to see who sticks around. EA recently enacted work rules and are paid better then Swift. Turbulkent times ahead as you know, can't please everybody.

Jeff Conry states there is no merger, managing, acquisition or buy out. That acft are being acquired from eastern to the certificate.

Only thing I can imagine is taking over acft from eastern and taking Eastern's training program for the NG. No idea what that means for Easterns future.

The EA name will survive, but the certificate will be turned in? I can't see Swift becoming Eastern, that doesn't make sense if there is no merger, acquisition, etc.
It sounds like Swift is simply taking over the airplane leases.
