It's actually down to April '16 for the July EMB upgrade. And possibly 1 guy out of the May new hire class.

I'm assuming these guys were just getting off IOE on the Dash before upgrading to the EMB. Is it possible/make sense to bid the Dash as FO as a new hire, then upgrade to CA in the EMB? Or does the seat lock prevent a cross-type upgrade?

Looking forward to becoming part of the team and having an actual schedule for the first time since I hauled checks in the early 00's.
No seat locks on upgrades. If you upgrade to the Dash, there is a seat lock to bid EMB. And they only have to fill 30% of EMB CA class with Dash CA. So to bid Dash CA to EMB CA could take a while.

Bonuses are paid just before class start. I got mine on a Friday with class starting the following week. They mail a paper check for the full amount, taxes are up to you at the end of the year.

Gotcha.

Sounds like it may be worth it to just bid ERJ CA as a new hire, even if it takes an extra month to upgrade. As much as I'd like to fly the Dash, the pay cut is going to be tough enough as it is.

Thanks for the info!

Any news yet on the routes for the 145? Are they just going to overlap the dash routes or plans for new destinations?

Look at what TSA is flying out of Dulles and you have your answer.
