What will it take to get the jet from day one? I don't want to fly the Dash if I don't have to.

The concern is people not getting hired off the street (to UAL) once hired at C5.
As if participating in the preferential hiring program excludes one from getting hired faster off the street.
Totally get that. I don't think it does. I really doubt United can keep track of who is who. After all, everything is done through a third party. That said, seems like a decent program.

Seniority in your class and needs of the company when you start class.

If I want to go to United (assuming all tests passed) I would still have to wait until my seniority would allow me? Meaning, I go to C5 and I am locked into a seniority based waiting line? I read about at least 1 year at the company before a move could be made. Only 40 "flow" per year?
My understanding is once you have the 1000 PIC hours, you should be good to go as long as you pass the interview. I have been told that a lot of guys did not want to go to UA and did not join the CPP or did not pass the Hogan. I also think I was told that it is not seniority based, but date of interview passed for new hires.

You must have 1000 hours C5 captain or 3000 hours C5 total time in order to leave. Movement for any new hires going forward will be seniority based. The program was a little mangled to start but now they've ironed out the kinks it seems. There are open enrollment periods. Meaning you should interview WHEN you get hired, don't wait. A guy in my class got the street call after failing the hogan for the CPP. 40 pilots a year out of a 330 pilot list isn't awful if you ask me. Considering about half of the people who take the hogan fail it and a sizable chunk of incumbent pilots don't want to go.

People are getting called to interview outside the CPP.

Do you have 1000 SIC? if so you may want to go to the Dash and upgrade to the Jet. This will prevent you being a CQF.

Depends on the class, but the youngest guy to get it was in his early 30's i believe. The august class it was early to mid 40's

1)have they started the process of getting those 40 ERJ's?

2)how long does it take to upgrade on 145 nowadays?

3)are those 4 paid hotel rooms per year, per month...?

PotatoeChip is right, but im sitting in my tree stand bored so....

Yes, we have 6-8 erj's on property taking 2 a month

Upgrade is pretty much as soon as you have 1000 121 sic....if you come in with the time, you could get upgrade awarded to you in Indoc, or worse case a couple months

4 hotels a month, 6 a month if you have stand ups
