Unless Delta does

Yeah, that. Relatively sure that Pinnacle has already made previous offers to buy C5, but they've all been turned down. Supposedly, management finally agreeing to speed up negotiations and get a contract signed has something to do with the potential sale.

• Higher Pay Rates - Most pilots will see a double digit percentage increase in rates! (from $21 to $23.39 for first year FOs)
• Block or Better Pay - On a leg by leg basis (definitely needed, they horribly underblock probably a third of our legs)
• Deadhead Pay - At 50%
• Premium Pay – 150% pay for reassignments and operations extensions (except they can run you until 2 AM on a day off with zero penalty and it's still a day off)
• Other new pay credits, including taxi movement and maintenance run-up pay (18 mins for taxi, 12 for gate run-up, 24 for off-gate run-up)
• Increase in Per Diem - From $1.25 to $1.45, a 16% increase
• Increase in Days Off – 14 to 15 more days off per year and NO “fake” days off! (also needed, when we do stand-ups/continuous duty overnights/high speeds the second day is listed as a day off on our schedule)
• Improved sick leave accrual and pay
• Commuter Policy (once per year, anything beyond that is an "occurance" with the company, and it only works if you have a "gauranteed" jumpseat, of which I don't know anyone besides FedEx who does, or 10% open seats, which as far as I know we can only check on CO/UA)
• Improvements in trip construction and quality of life - No more 7 leg days! (now just 6 leg days!)
• Cap on insurance premiums (basically the same as now)
Thanks. Kinda painful looking.

C5 pilots are fighting the fight and trying to make their crap hole a better place. I respect what they are doing because those of us at Colgan (The true "We") who have been here for some time, know what it is like to be crapped on and still fight for something better. Because of that, I would rather have a C5 pilot as a co-worker anyday instead of someone who calls a pilot group "trash bottom feeders" one say and "We" the next day.
1. We, as in our company.
2. I never claimed to be here since day 1. I also, know of other 9L guys that didn't see themselves coming to (9L). But like them, I am glad I ended up here. The quality of life isn't bad (no thanks to me), and I am sure you would agree that life here today isn't life that you were exposed to pre-contract.
I said, what I said. Its in the past. So, please step off your soap box and if I ever meet ya, 1st round is on me.

I'm confused by this... why would the closure of a contract speed up a sale when the contract would be almost certainly ditched in favor of the current Pinnacolaba contract?

And would we then be Pinnacommutacolaba?

No, we would still all be Pinnacle ... The only company to post a profit in the past few years...

Delta is paying Pinnacle's costs because they want Pinnacle to succeed...there is no other reason why they would do this. They could let Pinnacle sink fast.

Sean Menke is standing up and saying, while Delta is helping us, let's get this on the right track now. Some people are saying, same old management, different day. I don't think PT or DS ever cared about telling the employees in-depth of the financial structure. Menke knows that being an open book allows the airline to grow in several different ways. Ask the guys at Frontier.

This is probably completely unsubstantiated but I heard by way of the all-knowing, never-incorrect rumor mill that any class date after Dec. is tentative due to talks of BK. Anyone else hear this?
