Sucks that a SWA guy has to DH on a United flight.

It wouldn't be so hot if you had some chill. Let's keep it professional.

Trying to get some info about Commut Air, would be great to get some info-
i) What is the expected take home pay during training, reserve and line including per diem (excluding the bonus)? How much is the cheapest Healthcare option for 2-person?
ii) How many hours can one expect to fly in a month on reserve and as a line holder?
iii) How junior or senior is IAD?
iv) Was told that upgrade is about 2 years by a recruiter, how true is this?
v) What are min days and duty rigs if any and cancellation pay?

Add any additional information. Would any one suggest to come over to C5? I am tired on endless reserve period nd uncertain future at my current outfit, plus if based in IAD, I wouldn't be commuting.

Thanks.

"Not enough" is the answer to most of your questions. FWIW it also applies to all regionals

So, a hot airplane in the dead of summer makes the Commutair pilot group a group of clowns to a guy seemingly claiming to be a Southwest pilot deadheading on United tin. Right.

HIjack,
(sorry, couldn't resist)
Base pay is 75 hours per month at $30/hr for a new hire. I don't believe per diem during grd schl but will earn it during sim and IOE. Single room hotel.
C5 has a unique way of paying reserve. It is 4 hours guar/day, but you get anything over on a day by day basis. If you can avoid getting in the stand-up rotation, you will usually credit 90 plus/month. Also, if want an extra day off per month and want to know when start/end you can hold a stand up line while still quite junior. You just won't break 75 hrs.
Several different levels of health care packages, which will change your monthly cost. That should be able to be answered during interview.
Both bases about same senority. Should be able to hold choice if not immediately, at least in a month or two.
I believe upgrade currently under 2 years and if we staff more total pilots and hence add flying, it will drop significantly. Rumor mill would change that even more so.
Hope this helps. It is an airline with many pluses of being small. If you like to fly airplanes and aren't in it for the image, its a good job to be at as far as this segment of aviation goes.
Regardless, good luck with your career.

I have not.

At Trans States we did CDFA, it was fairly simple but it was nice on the dash to just push VNAV and let George do the work.
