As far as the technical portion goes there were a lot of Multi-engine priciple questions (SMACFUM, PAST, Vmc, etc.) They ask you to breif an approach, make sure to look at the note that denotes RVR is 18 if you have a Flight Director, thats the only stumper that I can remember.

They also asked about Mach Tuck and Coffin Corner which were the only suprises for me. Every other question was on aviationinterviews.com. Very straight forward interview

Yes I have looked at aviation interviews. Did you interview for the captain position or FO

5 more people than previous classes I know is a crazy idea 😂, but I have no reason to come on here and lie.

Besides I said around 20. I never stood up and counted every person but if it’s not 20, it’s close!

Mine was an FO interview. As far as differences in those interviews go, I’m not the right person to ask unfortunately.

We only hire fo’s. C5 does not have a direct entry program. All interviews are fo interviews.

We are upgrading fo’s in seniority order. If a CA position is still open during your INDOC class, then anyone in that class that has the required hours can hold a CA slot in that new hire class. We have direct entry CA’s, but we do not hire direct entry CA’s. Everyone is a FO on day one.

That basically the same as Envoy. If you come in with the hours, you are awarded Captain after Indoc. Are you saying that your captain upgrades are taking longer than initial training these days?

Any idea if this is true? I wonder why. The new Commutair CEO was VP of united’s EWR and LGA operation.

Some rumors out there that Mesa’s IAD operations may wind down by the end of the year. Could that be it?

Could also be part of UA’s plan to eliminate 50 seaters in EWR.

Where have you seen any details about such a plan? Curious because I’m living in NYC and this would be a bummer. Thanks

No secret has been made of the difficulty in operating in EWR but no one I've talked to has even suggested there will be any changes (particularly a reduction or elimination) of 145 operations at EWR by either C5 or XJT.

The only rumor I have heard is that we will be absorbing additional flying in IAD so lines will be increasing there.
