Compass updates

Seriously I don't know why not having flow should matter. Anyone who gets hired at Compass this year could have a 2-3 year upgrade and will only spend about 2 months on reserve. It's good that the flow is still around for pilots already on the Compass seniority list because if/when Delta hires they'll clear out and isn't their left seat what we all really want anyway? Then you you can build PIC and go to whatever major is looking good. Are people waiting around for some other airline that has an awesome flow agreement? Because that doesn't really exist any more.

What about the fact that if Delta doesn't hire for a while, those guys on the flow through list most likely aren't going to budge.

And if you need a job, you haven't lost anything. Hiring or not, the fleet is increasing by 33% this year. Worst case scenario it will stagnate just like every other regional you could have worked at...except there is still the possibility of fast and furious movement when hiring resumes.

A check airmen I flew with on IOE was awaiting recall to AA (he said he'd never make CA at DL before retirement but he would at AA). Also another guy was applying to FedEx and SWA. He viewed the flow through as a good thing if/when it happens but wasn't going to pass up other good offers based on what might happen.
So there will be attrition to other airlines, small at first, but it will only increase the longer DL goes without hiring.
Most feel even if DL doesn't hire this year, they will definitely need to hire in the next 2 to 3 years and that will lead to movement.

The thing about CPZ is that there is a guaranteed source of attrition that NO other airline has. Delta right now has approx. 1500 pilots that are between the ages of 60-65. My understanding is that they (DAL Pilots) only have to give two months notice of retirement. Anyone from DAL please correct me if I'm wrong. Unless something changes, CPZ owns the first 20 slots for any DAL GS. We have 39 that can flow for now, but in Aug. the 25% resets. Delta will have to hire at some point!

Any one who interviewed recently, are the gouges accurate on the interview sites?
What did you guys use to study?

Study the Delta gouge. It'll help. I also used the Flight Engineer written test book. I know it's dumb, but I got a lot of random systems questions on interview's written. Also look up what to expect on the cognitive test.

I talked to the base CP.
He was told that Compass cannot hire TSA pilots.
He told me that Compass cannot hire TSA pilots.
I wrote on here that the base CP told me that he was told that Compass cannot hire TSA pilots.
I guess there may be a possibility that he came up with this while sitting on his couch at home and decided to tell it to me and it's just a rumor.
I'm also confused about what additional information you need...
