Also, is anybody interviewing this week?

Expect to be notified if you were successful right after the panel interview is over. After that, you come back when Compass decides they are ready for you for a two day orientation (Flight Physical one day and a day of orientation at the schoolhouse). Good Luck!!

Any FO's out there shed any light on the demeanor of CA's on the verge of flowing up?

I've flown with 3 CA's who are in the top 20 in MSP, all very good people, and outstanding aviators. So far I have been pretty impressed with the professionalism of CA's here at CP. A few here and there who could put more effort into it, but the majority are guys who I would fly with the rest of my career.

Why the guilty response? What's going on? Or you just felt the urge to respond with a response you know nothing about?

I'm top 25 but certainly don't feel like I'm on the "verge" of going anywhere. Delta has to hire first and hasn't shown any inclination to do so, basically shrinking right along with retirements. :( Being senior and "stuck" really isn't a bad gig, but stagnation sucks for our junior/reserve CAs, FOs on the verge of upgrade, and newhires.

Agree. I am in the top 20 and I applied as a LCA recently and was told by the CPO that I am to senior for it.

I am very happy to be in the situation that I am in but know that in aviation anything can change so I am not putting all my eggs in the Delta basket

I know most of the top 20 personally and no one has a mentality that would be anything less than professional.

The captains are great here from who I've flown with so far. I think that being a captain tends to exaggerate personalities (personal observation). They are used to being in charge so whatever their personality is, it is exaggerated. But all the guys here are pretty awesome, so that exaggeration isn't a negative thing. Some are young and it's their first captain experience but it's just a different experience flying with them but not necessarily in a bad way. It seemed like at Colgan there was more captains that nobody wanted to fly with. It could also have something to do with being stuck with the same person all month at Colgan, whereas, at a company with PBS, you usually are with someone for only 4 days. You can put up with pretty much anyone for 4 days.

Senior guys are a good lot. Sharp guys with a lot of experience in the airplane and with the airline. Good attitudes. Some aren't exactly bursting at the seams with excitement about coming to work, but then again, who is.

The senior guys wouldn't have anything to complain about anyway - their pick of the high credit trips, turns, and two days. If they want to, they're only gone 5-8 nights a month, or zero if your willing to fly more days (13-15) and bid nothing but turns.
