I know of 2 FOs that have left in the past week or so. Regardless of what Delta does, I would imagine some sort of hiring will be necessary.

Where did they go? I figured the whole crew would be Delta flow or holding out for the guaranteed DL interview types. Glad to hear there is industry movement none the less :). Good for everyone.

Be prepared. We only hire the best of the best.

Guess that means I'm out of the running.

Only 1 was flow-eligible. I believe one was corporate and the other int'l, but I'm not 100% certain.

Is that why you start them at $23,000/year? Trust me buddy, the best of the best aren't going to seek a pilot career.

I am pretty sure he was being facetious.

But the bigger issue is a Pinnacle pilot talking about low pay. First year pay at CP once hiring starts again will be the exact same as at 9E for me, but 2nd year? Heh well.... I think we all know how that will be.

Well I missed the sarcasm- probably due to the daily absurdity. Oh I agree completely about the pay and I'm certainly not bragging about mine. That's why I said people that are actually talented aren't even interested in a flying career.

I don't know how that will be, how much more will a pilot a Compass make the 2nd year verses 9E year two? I would imagine it wouldn't be more than a few grand. Just because Compass pilots wear a hat doesn't mean the job is any more glamorous (nor lucrative) than any other regional.

2nd year pay at Compass is within $2 of the max -200 FO pay at Pinnacle. Compass' pay is equal to or more than 2nd year pay at any regional. I've worked at both, and Compass is much, much better than Pinnacle in any way you compare them.

Other than flying nicer airplanes for a couple dollars more per hour with work rules that are similar to Pinnacle's I'm curious how its "much, much better". I'm not trying to be facetious I'm really asking. The only thing I could venture to guess is much better at Compass is short term attrition due to flows leaving resulting in many upgrades. That generally keeps morale and culture on the positive anywhere.
