That generally keeps morale and culture on the positive anywhere.

It's a long list and I'll give a few examples:

-No Northern Mississippi Flying club training department
-No hour long hold times to get scheduling on the phone
-Hotels are generally very nice and much better than Pinnacle
-Trips are built better (less legs and shorter duty days for the same credit)
-Don't have to carry 40lbs of approach charts
-Planes are well maintained and the APUs aren't deferred

Well what isn't true.

Observation: If you didn't get that flybywine's "best of the best" comment was a joke, then you'll probably have trouble with the computer personality test in the interview. :)

Seriously.....this is one of the lowest-drama pilot groups imaginable.

We switched back to jepps and no longer have to carry 40lbs of approach charts!

Everything else is pretty undeniably true.

Northern Mississippi flying club still runs Memphis (Training dept.)
Wait times over an hour to talk to CS many many days
Hotels are and always have been terrible
Trips are terrible, often scheduled 12 hours of duty for min day pay with 4 hour sits
Maintenance is terrible, many APUs deferred.

The arbitrator must rule on the new contract by early Nov.

I don't have the exact timeline in front of me, but the company and ALPA are currently meeting on a regular basis with a mediator. Anything unresolved by the fall will be decided by the same mediator, who will switch roles and become an arbitrator. The arbitration is binding and the new agreement will be completed no later than November. I'm sure someone will correct me if this is wrong.
