I am not real familiar with Compass and I was just wondering how it compared to other regionals as far as QOL and overall stability. I was with Mesaba back when they were hiring a bunch and then went bankrupt a year later so I have been very skeptical of regionals ever since. Also how long is the reserve call out? I live near Grand Rapids, MI and just wondering if one could sit home while on reserve at DTW and make the drive. Thanks!

If hired in the next 2-3 months QOL could be passable. Reserve call out is 2 hours so from Grand rapids you could be in uniform in your car and possible make the 2 hour call out. If hired ahead of the curve except short reserve stint. The bad thing about reserve is that compass has ready reserve where you sit at the airport for 8 hours waiting for a call

Okay, thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

I know this is pretty subjective, but out of all of the regionals hiring including eagle and express jet would Compass be a first choice over all the others?

Compass doesn't have a particularly good contract (not saying it's bad either). It's just the fact that a high percentage of pilots are expected to flow to delta. This should provide rapid movement over the next couple of years. This is the main draw to the company.

Its not bad either, and most everyone treats people alot better than most airlines. To answer the post above I had the choice from XJT, SKYW and RAH. I chose CP, it is alot better than 9E and everyone is treated so much better you don't even notice the contract that much. Do you even work here?

did you even ready my post? I said it's not a great contract and then followed up by saying it's not bad either because I know guys like you would get their panties in a bunch thinking I was bashing the airline.

I read that Compass has almost 70 that accepted offers from the pool. Would that already be about half of the guys they are looking to hire and enough to fill classes for the next couple of months?
