Say you have a two leg commute with the first leg going to ORD and then to MSP for the second leg. Do you just have to give yourself two chances at leaving your home airport? Or do you have to make it to ORD first, and still give yourself two chances at getting to MSP from ORD.
For example, your first flight from your home airport gets canceled and you make the second flight to ORD, but from ORD you have only one chance to get to MSP and that flight gets canceled. Are you still protected by the commuter clause? Or do you have to make it to ORD in time to have 2 chances at getting to MSP.

I go back to MSP on 4-14 after my month long CBT and I need to start getting housing in order. If anyone has a lead on a good place to stay I would appreciate a pm with any information you might have. Long stay hotels are way to expensive and I would like to stay aware from a crash pad since I assume it would be hard to get studying done with people going in and out all night. I will be making the drive to MSP but would like to be semi close to the training facility. Thanks for any information you guys might have.

Moving to base for a regional job is equally sickening. It's very difficult to afford reasonable accommodations unless you've got out station basing and given the volatility of regional contracts there is no guarantee your base will even be open for the foreseeable future. Commuting sucks, but regionals just aren't star enough to move your family in my opinion.

I am here now. Congrats on the job. I looked all over for housing... Ended up sharing a 2 queen suite with two other people at the Country Inn and Suites. We got the 2 queen suite for $80 a night. It has 2 beds and a pull out bed in the couch. It is still expensive, just the best thing I came up with. The hotel also has a shuttle and breakfast. It's a descent place and within 5 minutes of the training center.

How many days is the typical reserve schedule set up for? 4/5/6 days on reserve at a time with a few days off in between?
Also, if anyone has any leads on a LAX crash pad - please PM me as I'll be looking for one in about 2 months.
