Two times nothing, equals nothing. Your entire pilot group is not being compensated commensurate with you education, experience, training and responsibility. What's worse, is you did it to yourselves, and harmed the entire industry in the process. |

Tail end of growth? PSA has 682 pilots on the June 10th seniority list, and many of those are still showing training status. They will need pilots 900-1000 line pilots total, not including full time instructors. Upgrade time is at 3 years, and will be less than 2 shortly.
Really? Want to compare pay checks? PSA insurance is better than sister airline Envoy, and costs the pilots less. |

I'm not sure why you guys needs so much reminding of what you did to help lower the regional airline bar. |

I know you have an interest in seeing Envoy succeed, but maybe you should tell that individual now is probably time to cut their losses? Besides WHY are there regional jets flying on any seniority lists, but a mainline one? What happened? Who harmed the entire industry? Give me a break. Your generation of airline pilots has already shown their true colors. Your generation, the me first generation. You personally shined an even brighter light on your true colors recently by saying there is no way regional pilots will be getting mainline numbers. Luckily the PSA pilot group can see the forest for the trees, and will do well. From one side of your mouth you basically say regional pilots are not worthy of a mainline number, and then from the other say we aren't being paid what we are worth. Make up your mind. Are you going senile? All the vitriol your posts encourage shows how little of an understanding you really have of the entire regional "industry," and your "oracle-like" posts that some thrive on are a waste of space. Are you going to even be in the game once the merge is fully complete? Besides the fact your username is Mason32, so you've obviously into all these special secret hand shakes, and headnods. Strange.

PSA is full of a bunch of cowards who took pay cuts to get shiny jets. No way around it. Your parent company is making, and was making at the time, record profits while you guys decided you weren't worth much. Therefore, you took voluntary pay cuts due to your shiny jet syndrome. PSA is a crap hole.
I'm not sure why you guys needs so much reminding of what you did to help lower the regional airline bar. Opinions are great, facts are better. |

Envoy pilot. Compass is hiring! I've not taken a pay cut. In fact I've never made more money in my life. Things are looking great! Opinions are great, facts are better. |

Act all high and mighty but there isnt a soul in the industry that doesn't know what you guys did - You took concessions for planes at a time when everyone else stood up and said no. Scabs of the industry. It will follow you.

I cannot believe how quickly this forum turned into a contest of whose regional is better/worse than the others. Nobody has won anything - flying for the regionals means only varying degrees of loosing. The recent conduct on this thread smacks of hyenas fighting over a scrap of rotten meat. It's no wonder our occupation has slipped from the lofty rank of respectable professions to that of a simple blue-collar worker, thus leading the public, and our bosses to think that we're no more than a bunch of trained chimps not worthy of a livable wage.
Keep fighting, because that's productive. (sarcasm) |
