Have you heard of ASA/Expressjet?

What about the new American flying? I don't think delta wants to own a company that also feeds it's competitor!

Seriously.....It was a stupid April fools day joke.

If that were true, then why do Skywest and ASA/Xjet have such a large piece of the DCI pie? And why did AS management decide to outsource the QX CRJ's to Skywest? It's actually in Delta's interest for us to acquire more aircraft, especially of the same type, even if it's for one of their competitors. Here's why:

Nope. Skywest, ASA/expressjet, republic are not wholly owned airlines!! Those airplanes are Americans! They wouldn't be acquiring aircraft they don't own! They aren't going to let a wholly owned of deltas to operate them nor is delta going to allow their wholly owned to feed American. Doesn't work sorry. Btw I currently work for Americans largest wholly owned, do you think American would use it's resources (pilots, airplanes, flight attendants ) to allow us to feed united or delta?
Besides it's a moot point as it's not happening. You wouldn't want it to either I'd assume?

That's probably why it's making Delta nervous. Do some homework on Comair and their strike. I'm pretty sure Delta doesn't want to put that many eggs in one basket again.

Yeah, because it's so easy for airlines to get released to strike...

Is that all you get out of my post??? My point is economies of scale also give that company leverage. Delta does not want that
