It would probably be decided through arbitration or mediation. Could be DOH, relative seniority, or a combination.

I hardly believe DOH or relative seniority would be involved, career progression at CZ is through the roof right now. Following ALPA merger policy would substantially limit any ability for a merger with another airlines pilot group to be beneficial for said airline...unless of course we were sold as an asset transfer...easiest answer...ALPA merger policy

Is it true that Compass has five day trips? Are they widespread? Do they tend to go junior? Are there many day trips and two days?

Just some perspective:
The last merger between regionals (XJT and ASA) hasnt even combined the lists yet. So theres always that.
But even at Pinnacle/Colgan/Mesaba, the Colgan Saabs were "Fenced" off from Pinnacle and later Mesaba(once they lost all their saabs) pilots from upgrading into. So, no equipment is too small or insignificant for a fence.
I would also say that nothing in the M&A world happens very quickly. The career progression at Compass IS moving very quickly. Even if Compass was sold or merged, it is most unlikely that anything will change for at least a year - You willl operate as normal and upgrade on schedule way before a combined seniority list or even combined certificate is made.

October

5 day trips:
LAX - 52
DTW - 20
MSP - 14 (MSP has 238 4 day trips)

With respect to LAX - it's a mix between junior and senior. I have two 5 day trips next month and I'm just north of middle of the LAX seniority.

Two day trips are the lowest of the bunch. Day trips are tied for 2nd with 3 days. The number of day trips out of LAX has been decreasing over the months.

You'd probably have a little traffic in the evening on the drive up and a decent amount in the morning if you're on the 405 all way. If you take the 105 to the 605 to the 91 you might be better off.

But if you're starting soon and planning on LAX chances are you won't be flying CDO's for very long.

No way to even remotely predict the outcome of that.

Yea, we have a bunch in October for LA. We had a ton of 2 day trips for September and that decreased and 5 days went through the roof. I think they are trying to see what works best. The senior guys bid the more productive 5 days at around 30+ hrs. We have sow, that are only 25-26 which are more junior.
