I think it was taken down to 14 days with the new contract. No less material that I know of. It is doable in 14 days but requires a lot of work compared to having another 16 days to take it easy. Instead of having a lot of time to learn limitations, flows, and callouts you will have to buckle down and not waste time.
Also your DOH is your anniversary for pay increases. FYI
Just wondering if the iPad's/Lidos will really get implemented. I know they have been distributed, but they aren't approved for sole use yet. There was some hesitation from management that they were 100% sure they would be implemented.

According to the school house a few days ago they think the jepp's will be extended for another month. They wanted to be full ipad by 3-1 but the mounts are sitting in boxes in MSP and haven't been delivered. The people that have to deliver them went on a 2 week vacay to Brazil.

Hi everyone, I was invited to interview with compass and would like to know how the process is and prepare myself for what seems to be a tough one. I have no prior 121 and 0 turbine. I just reached 1500 instructing and would prefer west coast but, can it be done with compass as a new hire? I have class date with another regional, but I have to move across the country. Thanks

Gouges are dead on accurate. Also, LAX is the junior base currently. Especially once the AA flying starts.

Hey guys, got a class date. How does a Midwesterner best deal with being assigned LAX on first year pay? Any rough estimates for crashpads or permanent living near LAX? commute?... I make about the same now, but dont live in LA, cost of living here is 30-60% cheaper for rent and such.
I would highly prefer MSP but getting conflicting info as to how likely it is I could get it. I have another job offer that is based closer to hometown but would require moving. But its not 121. very good 135 gig. Got a make my choice in the next few weeks.

Honestly I don't know how first year guys are doing it out in LAX. I know a lot get 2nd jobs (Uber drivers make a good 2nd job), rack up a ton of debt, live with their parents etc... There is no way in hell anyone can afford a comfortable lifestyle on 25K a year in LA. Expect to pay about 300/month for a crashpad out in LA if you commute.
That being said you could get MSP sooner than you may think. It really all depends on what the final size of the base ends up being which it sounds like about 80 crews from the latest gossip. A lot of MSP FOs will continue to upgrade over the year which will open up back fill positions. But you have to plan for the worst which could be stuck being LAX based for awhile.
As far as taking the 135 gig over Compass... well that could be a tough call. All I can say is if you are looking to break into 121 Compass is a good choice right now. Good luck.

They must be fairly serious about the Lido's, cause new hires aren't even getting Jepps (although we still must go through the 230+ slide presentation during CBT's).
So, either they toss us Jepps at the last minute, or Lido's it is.
