Coming to Compass over Endeavor in 2013-spring 2015 was a no brainer, but I would choose Endeavor over Compass, outside of living on the west coast, if I were starting out right now. The flow attrition at Compass is over and Endeavor is only starting to pick up their flow (pilots who already passed the interview) in the coming years. On top of that Endeavor pays all their payscales $20K/year extra, so you do the math, $20K/year or $60K extra for 3 more years, or $10-15K extra for the next 3 years?

Plus, Endeavor is negotiating for extra contractual improvements with Delta right now that will probably sweeten the pot even more.

Point being, this isn't the low pay, airplane parking Endeavor and Compass growing and flowing scenario we had 2 years ago. Up until this summer I thought Compass was the better choice, now I would give a hard look to Endeavor first.

Good. Let them figure out what they screwed up before they roll it out here.

Well scooch on over to 9E. I'm sure no one would miss you here.

If you are the kind of tool that is indicative of the Compass pilots then anyone that picks any airline but Compass is probably making a good

Is nobody going to bring up the fact that these developments are really nothing impressive at all? $36/hr is a step in the right direction but it only really helps the company attract pilots. Besides, with RAH offering $40 and CommutAir offering $38 PLUS a huge bonus... This is too little too late. And besides, people who have been here longer than a year get practically nothing out of this that they shouldn't have already had - GoJet/TSA/Envoy/CommuteAir/etcetc have had paid hotel rooms for months/years now. Why is nobody else bringing this up?

404 likes to stir the pot and antagonize from time to time. It creates good discussions but does occasionally generate some negativity towards him specifically. Don't let one short tempered post towards him cloud your view of us as a whole. He likes the attention anyway.

Except that they are. It didn't take long from the time the company started a bonus before the union got it axed and put into pay rates. The pay may not be as high as republic, but Bedford has already came out and said that he can't afford those rates. Let's not forget this agreement also gives the company the ability to raise pay again without having to negotiate it. You say that people who have been here for over a year don't really benefit from it, I think that's wrong. It keeps people coming in below you, thus elevating your seniority. Oh, I'm almost off of first year pay, FWIW.

The airlines you mentioned that already give commuter hotels are a very small percentage of regional airlines. I can't say for certain how much hotels and crashpads cost in those airlines domiciles, but I can speak for LAX and they are very expensive.

This is not too little too late. RAH was too little too late and Mesa will probably be next if they don't hurry and do something.

I'm hoping there's something in the language protecting CA pay rates. If they can just raise FO's pay rates indefinitely soon we will be paid close to the same.

Pay rates for essentially ONE year of longevity. So effectively, they may as well have just kept the bonus because the rest of us get nothing! What do 2nd+ year FO's get besides a 1.25% raise and a less-than-COLA raise later if the company decides to increase first year pay again (who says they will?)? What do captains get? Except for seniority as you put it... But the bonus did that too.

I thought the reason we were all against this bonus from the beginning was that it only benefited new hires... and yet from my perspective it seems we haven't changed anything. The hotels, granted, are a plus. But again, none of this is anywhere near "industry leading" as RL put it. I think it's embarrassing that people are celebrating this when the other two companies that are owned by our parent, that everyone considers "bottom-feeders," have already had this for a long time.
