Be my guest and pass on critical pay for now. My point is coming on an online message board and going on a no pickup tirade isn't going to do jack ****. If we were in 5 years contract negotiations or furloughing pilots I'd be with you

I heard compass is upgrading 24 a month? If this is in fact true, would you agree that a new hire would be sitting at around a 2.5 year upgrade?
what are your thoughts?

Nobody can answer that with much of a guarantee. Things could change in a few months for better or worse. I'd say 2-4 years is a fairly safe estimate.

That's a very safe estimate. 24/month is nearly 300 a year. That's almost half our seniority list. I'd say if it remains true that'd you'd probably upgrade in just under 1.5 years.

Okay, let's not discuss anythjng of substance on this public forum. Let's go back to who's upgrade is faster.
And I guess you didn't hear about us getting comuter hotels, 4 hour min day (no longer "free from duty") and FO pay increases outside our 5 year contract negotiations.

I was browsing around and didn't find any open time rates for Compass. Anyone work there have the current on that? Appreciate it.

I hear things have calmed down a bit. The first couple of weeks were terrible. I expect the same here.

If so, why would they give 200?

You have to be willing to tell them no if they won't pay 200%. If enough do that, they'll find a way to pay 200%.

But guys here are tripping over themselves for 150% still! Stop it!!
The only way for them to pay 200% without a grievance filed is to get a LOA with our union. Gojet has provisions for higher than 150% in their contract. We don't. If we want to give them the incentive to not staff properly, and not upgrade sufficiently, then we had better at least negotiate to get something we want for the group in return. Whatever we ask for had better be really great to justify allowing them to stagnate everyone's upgrades and subsequently careers.

They have given 200%. If we can get it negotiated - anytime 200% is offered it should trigger junior man to be paid at 200%. That way they don't prefer JM over critical pay.
