Yep delta TA has zero scope change. Someone had to lose planes to get planes. Might be compass after there contract ends with AA and those 175 go to envoy.

This is of course all speculative, but, management did say in the last conference call that if Delta does purchase the jets (which I think will happen) that they are in line to getting some of those planes from that purchase. This is the first time I ever heard something as solid relating to new flying for us.
I know the Delta TA hasn't passed yet but it looks as if this one will. When it does, scope will be relaxed. That is part of the deal.
Yes, we'll wait and see, but, CP wanting to go back to hiring 40 month again when they said 20 can't possibly be just for attrition. 20 is for attrition. 40 is for something else. Just my two cents. I hope I'm not wrong.

What does AA planes have anything to do with Delta scope or adding planes? Btw the AA planes are under contract for several more years with options to extend the contract several more after that. I wouldn't get too excited about CPZ losing those planes any time soon.

I listened to the conference call and did get the sense that our mangers were very optimistic. They were more optimistic than usual. However, I didn't take it as any more promising than any other time new planes were possibly going to be handed out. Nothing is set in stone and the managers DID state that "if" Delta gets scope relief then Delta wants to buy more 76ers. Leadership did take the opportunity to mention that we need to stay competitive with our performance if we want more planes. At no point in the call did I get the sense that we were getting more flying or that we were first in line to get more flying so I wouldn't get too excited yet. Just healthy optimism.

You must have not listened to the last conference call. We are actively pursuing new airplanes from the 2.3 billion dollar acquisition of 76-seaters Delta will make. Endeavor is opening a JFK base which will shrink their MSP operations. The Delta MEC has already agreed to amending the scope clause, otherwise Delta wouldn't be spending the 2.3 billion, and I do think their new TA will pass soon. Furthermore, remember that we are also in the process of obtaining over water certification as requested by AA. It's not a rumor, it's a fact. At some point the Caribbean flying may come. You can fact check all this by just reading the daily digest from Alpa on your inbox.
