Between QX and CP, yes go to CP. But not everything said is true....don't go to QX because you live in AK (if that is even the case), that statement does not hold weight as you will likely end up commuting to SEA or PDX for a long time anyways and be seat locked in a Q4 or a jet and unable to get an ANC base. The ANC base for QX is very small and hard to get off reserve or build any time as they only fly to 2 airports in the state. The real answer to this question is what are your end goals? If you want AS, then come to CP as quite frankly it is easier to get hired by AS off the street then from QX right now despite their flow. If you want any major that calls and don't care about base then go to a wholly-owned with flow! If you specifically want a guaranteed west coast base and *likely* very quick movement, come to CP, we'd love you have you! Just wanted to make sure you have all the info.

Best of luck....

I wasn't that much younger than you when I came to Compass, and there are surprisingly quite a few of us here in our 40s. Yes time is of the essence, but you still have a good shot at being at a major by 50 and having a nice 15 year career. Right now Compass looks like your best shot at getting to the majors the quickest. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat as CitationX between QX and CP, and have interviews with both. Concerning the SEA base, one of my biggest questions is that while there is solid growth at the moment, DL seems to be amping up to take the CS100s in SEA, and from the sounds of it, that flying will be replacing regional jets. Is there any concern of that cutting in to the growth up there?

After the tariff imposed (about 220%) upon Canadian built planes... the CS100s might have a different future with Delta.

Oh that's right, I did read something about that.

Not right now because we are scheduled to have Big growth in Seattle early next year. That's the last I saw on the company FB page in regards to Seattle

I heard most of the CS100 fleet would go to LAX. Compass is supposed to grow the SEA base in 2018. Close to double in size is what I heard last.

Good for Delta... I'm not sure about for hiring at Delta. They might have to change their fleet plan. Delta management is smart, so they will figure out how to not pay the tariff, and maybe even make some money on this deal. Possibly by sending the CS elsewhere and making a deal with Airbus.

Boeing would love that, given they spent the money to ruffle the feathers.
