Willing to bet it goes super senior, I've heard talk of a lot of MSP CA's and senior SEA CA's who are MSP commuters going...

I have a feeling we'll start seeing fairly full classes this fall

Where is that at on the notice? I'm seeing displcaced First Officers going from MSP to PHX.
Upon second look it appears even the notice is even incorrect because it shows a displacement of 12 from MSP with 15 proposed for PHX. That would be a net gain of 3. Meanwhile the "Important Details" says its to fill "an expected zero (0) FO vacancies". I guess even planing doesn't know what we have.

I believe most are given about 2 weeks in between DOH and first day of class to complete online CBTs. Then the training footprint from day 1 of class to end of IOE is around 90 days total.

You will choose a class date once you get the CJO, it depends on their need but when I got hired there were lots of options and I took the first class which I recommend because seniority is life in the airlines! Whatever that class date is, you will go (on your dime mind you) to MSP for one day. There you will get your badge and CASS and can jumpseat home. It was 2 weeks of home study but I heard they were actually moving to 3, either way it will be at least 2. This is not a vacation, its actually a decent amount of work. Once back to class you will be M-F the first several weeks until you get into the sims, granted depending on your class date you might be affected by the holidays. They cannot train over holidays, so note to self, if you want to ensure Christmas off with no seniority just pick a class that will extend through Christmas . It can all vary depending on school house schedules and such, but typically once you go back to class after the home study you are looking at about 8 weeks before you take your checkride then IOE to follow. You also might bounce back and fourth between MSP and STL during sim. On day one of class when HR comes in to do your intro and discuss plans, hotels, etc. be sure to explicitly ask if you will have your own hotel room then be prepared to back that. I heard of some classes being told day one they would have their own room then showing back up for class and having double occupancy until the students made them eat their statements and re-book them, so watch that.
Welcome to Compass!
P.S. the commute clause does not protect you during training, so if you choose to go home on weekends/breaks be smart about it. If this is your first airline, I would not recommend trying to go home. If you have prior 121 you will be bored during training, this plane is cake.
