Since it’s OUR money being used, makes sense for US (through the government, which is supposed to be the steward of our money) to protect our investment.

Nothing radical or new here, but as with anything else in DC, it’s all in the legislation and execution...not the press conference.

which was motivation for the auto industry to pay the government back early, to get out from under its control.

I heard that we have 16 pilots and 30 flight attendants with COVID19.

All of them were on the same RJ from EWR-IAD.

There may be some evidence now:

Air samples were negative despite the extent of environmental contamination. Swabs taken from the air exhaust outlets tested positive, suggesting that small virus-laden droplets may be displaced by airflows and deposited on equipment such as vents. The positive PPE sample was unsurprising because shoe covers are not part of PPE recommendations. The risk of transmission from contaminated footwear is likely low, as evidenced by negative results in the anteroom and clean corridor.”

Right. Gotta keep my head out of the bowl.

Thanks for this, I’ll stop immediately.

From your reference

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
  • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
  • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

Impossible to know what is really happening in China. However, it sounds like they just reversed the decision to open movie theaters again:

If you missed today's (3-29) Presidential briefing then you missed some good info by Doctors Birx and Fauci. They were asked about modeling of the virus. Dr. Birx is the expert on modeling. What they said was if everyone abides by the "social distancing" and other suggestions then the models show we will lose between 100,000 to 200,000 people. (currently at around 2500 deaths) If the preventative measures are widely ignored, then we will lose between 1.2M and 2.2M people. (both sets of numbers depend on which model you look at). They're estimating the peak for most urban areas is still about 2 weeks away.

Senator and former Presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar said her 52 yr old healthy husband just left the hospital and is now in quarantine at home. He got COVID-19 and it hit him hard. Developed into viral pneumonia. His O2 sat levels got very low and he was coughing up blood. The Senator is having to crash at the other MN Senator's apartment until her husband test negative.

47 yr old former NFL Offensive Tackle Tony Boselli was put in an intensive care unit in JAX with the virus. He's now out of ICU but still hospitalized. Prior to the virus his health was excellent. He did triathlons even.

Son of a...... So we're not going to be "opened up and raring to go by Easter"? I was so looking forward to this being over quickly. What changed his mind?
