Is it really that deadly?

As people are prevented from earning a living, feeding their families and living life, the virus grows more deadly every day.

If our leaders want to “save lives“ it’s time to open the doors.

Sweden is taking a very different approach. Realizing that sooner or later everyone will be exposed, they are letting society make it’s own choice as to when and how....while the economy churns along.

At some time in the future there may be a vacine,,but life must go on. We all die at some point. In the mean time they live free.

A bit counterintuitive, but a lot of medical folks are losing their livelihoods. Wuhan Flu is but a fraction of a fraction of overall medical expenditures.

Hospitals, dental and medical practices, clinics are EMPTY! No one who doesn’t think they/have Wuhan Flu is doing anything medically related, unless it’s an emergency.

Unless you make PPE or vaccines, there is essentially zero medical spending right now.

Other than a few exceptions, hospitals are EMPTY, EMPTY, EMPTY.

Sweet, let's do all the things that Sweden does! Like universal health care and fun stuff like that. And nice "we all die at some point" line... yeah, we do... would be nice to try to push that point out a few years though.

As for Sweden, good luck to them. I suppose we'll learn in a month or two whether it's a good plan or an avoidable catastrophe. If it's working then, hey we can learn and apply their principles. In the mean time I hope like h*ck we're listening to doctors and progressing at max velocity on a vaccine.

coronavirus was in the USA as early as November... it’s possible that millions have already had covid-19 and recovered.

Until March...we took no action. No lockdown. No quarantine. Hospitals were not overwhelmed. No one ran out of ventilators. No tents in parking lots. No media coverage of the potters field in NY... economy humming right along.

open it back up and let’s all get back to our lives.

Yup, Sweden and the USA are taking very different paths.

Also just to have some numbers to compare, the deaths per million in Sweden applied to the USA would result in over 400,000 deaths in the USA through August instead of 60,000+. (source)

600,000 + die every year from cancer In the USA - there’s still no vaccine or cure ...and yet I’m still allowed to eat Twinkies, drink bourbon, and smoke cigarettes as I please.

the absolute hysteria over coronavirus is amazing.

PS: both my kids likely had it.. multiple flu tests negative and we were refused covid-19 testing back in December.

I had it in early February, had to take two weeks off. Of course I got it while on vacation so I was sick for two weeks prior. Fever 100'ish easily controllable with advil, cough for months felt tired but i worked on a project at home everyday sick and all. Its not a life ending pandemic! My whole family had it in one form or another. 13 year old daughter just a cough, 16 son, fever cough body pain, wife just a cough.

We stayed away from our older parents and now its gone. Were all immune's now so i/we've been partying it up. Your either gonna get it now or later. Some will never get because of a natural immunity. You can't stop a virus by social distancing guys you just delay it. As with the seasonal flu people die and that suck! But, thats life! If you don't take care of yourself your a target and some people just have bad gene's your also gonna die! Me I'm a survivor and after I get off this Thomas Crapper I'm going for a motorcycle ride with my kid...stay healthy...cheers!

Oh yeah happy Easter!
