That is your OPINION. But, because you are a moral narcissist, you insist that you hold the high ground and only your interpretation of the data is the correct one. There is plenty of data that contradicts your position. My point exactly.

And I never said a word about "anti-vaxxers." Not part of this discussion.

So your position is masks don’t work that’s why you won’t wear it? So if someone had the virus, say next to your loved ones, would you be ok with that guy mouth breathing on them without a mask or would you like them to wear a mask?

My position is that the data on the effectiveness of "face coverings" is all over the map. If people were wearing N95 masks or at least single-use surgical masks CORRECTLY, there might be some benefit to their use.

But given the fact that most people are using re-usable, cloth masks which are proven to be nothing more than bacteria collectors and an enormous percentage of mask wearers don them as "chin warmers," no, I think it's likely "mask culture" is counterproductive.

It is up to ME to avoid the mouth breather. I take responsibility for my health.

And where did I say that I don't wear a mask where required by local law, vendor policy, or my company policy? I didn't. When necessary, I do. A SINGLE USE, surgical mask, donned properly by the straps. And disposed of following removal.

I just believe it is little more than virtue signalling.

oh ok. Your posts sound like you’re against wearing them. They never mentioned that you do. Any kind of cover helps because the virus is mostly attached to droplets and those can be stopped by a simple mask. The most basic medical student would be able to confirm this. Also all the future models of this virus subsiding is only based on if people actually follow health guidelines.

But sounds like the airlines may set policies banning pax who board with a mask on and then refuse to wear it in flight. That should mostly solve the problem. "That guy" probably would tend to scare off some other pax from flying.
It seems like "that guy" who refuses to wear a mask is usually some overweight, redneck idiot. Probably needs the seat belt extenders, and gets out of breath walking up the jet way.

There is actually plenty of data to suggest that re-usable, cloth masks are actually harmful because they collect bacteria and moisture (which feeds MORE bacteria), and concentrate it directly in the respiratory path of the wearer. A physician friend called cloth masks "sewers" that will only lead to respiratory illnesses besides Covid. Couple that with the fact that many wear their masks with their nose not covered only leads to a false sense of security in the wearer and actually encourages them to violate social distancing (another dubious "scientific" concept).

look pal, I was trying to make an in jest post about the definition of made up internet troll terminology (Karen, Karen’s, the Karen)

then you jumped all over me calling me a “moral narcissist”. That must be the in vogue pseudo intellectual terminology of the far right because you’re the third person I’ve noticed on here to use that insult in lieu of fact based rhetoric.

I think what you’re really upset about is the fact that I mention that the emperor’s new clothes are...shall we say...very revealing.

here’s an elitist statement for you:

2+2=4

You actually used the terms "Karen, selfish science denier, and anti-vaxxer." Oh, and don't forget "douche." All in one post. Not insulting at all....tons of "fact-based rhetoric" there.

Were you "making fun" of those internet troll labels?

Yeah, didn't think so.
