And I never said a word about "anti-vaxxers." Not part of this discussion.

That is your OPINION. But, because you are a moral narcissist, you insist that you hold the high ground and only your interpretation of the data is the correct one. There is plenty of data that contradicts your position. My point exactly.

But given the fact that most people are using re-usable, cloth masks which are proven to be nothing more than bacteria collectors and an enormous percentage of mask wearers don them as "chin warmers," no, I think it's likely "mask culture" is counterproductive.
It is up to ME to avoid the mouth breather. I take responsibility for my health.

My position is that the data on the effectiveness of "face coverings" is all over the map. If people were wearing N95 masks or at least single-use surgical masks CORRECTLY, there might me some benefit to their use.

I just believe it is little more than virtue signalling.

And where did I say that I don't wear a mask where required by local law, vendor policy, or my company policy? I didn't. When necessary, I do. A SINGLE USE, surgical mask, donned properly by the straps. And disposed of following removal.
I just believe it is little more than virtue signalling.

The masked Karens and soy boys would probably be afraid to mix it up with "that guy". They'd have to get within 6' of him, and he's probably bigger than they are anyway.
But sounds like the airlines may set policies banning pax who board with a mask on and then refuse to wear it in flight. That should mostly solve the problem. "That guy" probably would tend to scare off some other pax from flying.

There is actually plenty of data to suggest that re-usable, cloth masks are actually harmful because they collect bacteria and moisture (which feeds MORE bacteria), and concentrate it directly in the respiratory path of the wearer. A physician friend called cloth masks "sewers" that will only lead to respiratory illnesses besides Covid. Couple that with the fact that many wear their masks with their nose not covered only leads to a false sense of security in the wearer and actually encourages them to violate social distancing (another dubious "scientific" concept).

then you jumped all over me calling me a “moral narcissist”. That must be the in vogue pseudo intellectual terminology of the far right because you’re the third person I’ve noticed on here to use that insult in lieu of fact based rhetoric.
I think what you’re really upset about is the fact that I mention that the emperor’s new clothes are...shall we say...very revealing.
here’s an elitist statement for you:
2+2=4
