One thing pilots have in greater proportion than the rest of the population is time to read. What you do with your time is your free choice but it is amazing what you can learn with a little research.

If the Democratic Party rep observed my checkride.....I could just blow it and they would say that the corrupt and systemically anti-pilot system has kept me down and never given me a chance to succeed. For a simple pledge to vote Dem for the rest of my life, the Dem rep would doctor the paperwork to a PASS. Then we could sit around and discuss how Trump hates pilots and we should defund the check airmen forces.

Governor Polis in Colorado has done well. I remember posting on another forum where someone said Kemp was doing a good job in Georgia. I completely disagreed at the time, and still do. On that day Colorado and Georgia had about the same number of cases.

Indiana did the first statewide, demographically-sampled survey in the United States....results here
IU Health did a second study in the early summer but has not published a report yet; they are planning a third round this fall and a fourth next spring.

The Stanford study was only Santa Clara County CA, while the USC study was only Los Angeles County.
Stanford estimated 30 actual infections for every known confirmed positive case in Santa Clara County, while USC estimated about 43:1 in Los Angeles County.
Those higher values in those specific counties make sense compared to the entire state of Indiana IMO, given population densities and frequency of air travel from China to California.
Most serosurveys done around the country estimate actual infections around 10:1, though of course some localities are MUCH higher.

20% of August US Covid cases came from... Sturgis.
Wow. I guess we know what not to do for the next couple months.
