Hawaii hoping to implement a vaccine passport system, to allow travelers to enter without a negagtive test or quarantine.

I’m trying to figure out the huge push for electronic vaccine passports—they can require WHO yellow cards, encode it on regular passports. I insisted on my vaccine record being filled out in addition to the CDC record. I suppose forgery prevention, but we didn’t worry about that on the yellow cards.

2. The anti-vaxx cult wasn't really a big thing before social media.
3. Because they can.

EO to implement "covid travel certificate" for airlines, but says it's not a "vaccine passport". Not sure what that means.

CA is obliquely encouraging vaccine passport use by large venues. But sacramento doesn't appear eager to implement anything formal...

Wait til the recall vote is over, then it’ll be clearer.

Hopefully many states and countries will move to block them.

As usual there’s mistakes in that article. To start UC schools did not require flu vaccination. At least not for staff. It was discussed and eventually not implemented. The article also paints a picture of UC health advocating for some sort of vaccination requirement to attend large venues. From what I’ve seen on my wife’s zoom meetings they’ve been mostly against that once everyone has had a chance at vaccination. Right now thier focusing on how infectious a vaccinated person that still contracts covid is so we can ditch the masks ASAP. It’s been a much more reasonable conversation than most media would portray.
