I was just talking with a guy that is finishing up his 321NEO checkout at HA.

The Pratt motors take up to 4 minutes to start! It tries to get the temperature nice and even by cooling some parts and running hot oil to warm up other parts. The great news is they are 35k... just shy of the 757!

Standby for folding wingtips and the 3 wheel axle.

Most with experience operating reduction gearbox engines are familiar with stabilizg temps.

Airbus has produced double bogey A320s in the past, I’m not sure the penalties. All of these aspects combined could be a 757 replacement.

Actually, he wasn't. Had a discussion with the bus folks a couple months ago and they described the start up process identically. You probably misread (the usual)... the operative portion is "up to."

We're running ATL-LAX now with them with no performance issues... more power and going a lot farther on the same fuel would help, wouldn't it?

Spirit pilot told me 3-4 minutes. I've never flown it, you?

As to the wheels and wings, we will put that over there on the a321 can't fly to the west coast trips, won't be ordered, can't sit as many, can't cross the pond and whatever other dumb thing it was said it can't do.

Delta has 220 or so on order, 320 possibly. Of just 321s.
