I suspect the massive movement I get in the near future involves a flushing action to conclude the festivities...

I didn’t take offense as I do agree some feel that way as you described. I just feel the majority were properly educated. I hoped it wouldn’t come to this but I’m not surprised. My wife and I kept our income in line with FO pay just for this reason. I’m very happy for the experience and look forward to rainy walk arounds again.

This... Apparently SF didn’t notice the part that said “there will be no back-filling of positions unless operationally necessary.” In the past 3-4 AEs that meant there will be NO backfilling of any “A” positions period.... I’m still waiting for the massive movement as well...

More informed people than I pay attention to that kind of stuff, and I find secondary and tertiary effects of displacements interesting. I was under the impression that with sub-1 year captains on property, every SLI (to include very new folks) was making 777B pay. If displacements remove all of the very new As (I'm not sure if that's going to happen or not), I was curious if, and to what degree, new SLIs would see their pay significantly reduced.
You should have been here back in the good old days when some waited years to move to the left seat only to have that snatched away in bankruptcy... This is a temporary setback for some with loooooong careers ahead of them

I guessed you missed 4500 plus new hires and over 2000 new CA’s the last 5 years.

Based on current list 50th from bottom ATLM88A would be 8th from bottom NYC717A, add a few for projected list. Bottom line is most of those 50 will be going back to B somewhere. Interesting and smart sequencing of the M88 drawdown. By the time it hits MSP they should all be absorbed by equivalent growth in other NB aircraft. Imagine they will draw down ATL last with the same sequencing logic. Bummer for the very junior A’s, but I think we will start to see the seniority inversion largely disappear as the M88 is replaced with 73N and 320. It will be interesting to see how many are willing to commute to NYC to hold on to an A on the C100 which will be about all that will remain as the floor rises on the shrinking M88.

keep in mind, you are now taxed on the cost of that 'free move'

Not exactly what I was saying, but thanks for that particular reminder.
