True, but I'd take the tax hit if I wanted to move my family to PTC...Do you know how expensive it is to pay for a move across the country?

the May category list (which this displacement goes off of) is #12,326. Most Junior NYC 717A is #12,141

I stand corrected. I was using the April list

Isn’t it a good thing that you could be off by one month?

To be most correct, wouldn’t you look at the projected category list for October 18?

Yes. That's what I used and John Bell's Excel sheet.

In 5-10 years this airline will probably be

737900
C series
330 Neo
350
That’s not bad but to take pilots off the other fleets over the next 10 years is going to be very difficult. The c series does the exact same thing the 717 does and so much more so I would hope more are ordered and the 717 are gone as leases expire

Also the 777 didn’t have any departures in dtw for the last 2-3 years or so so this was inevitable after the 350 was placed there. Still sucks though.
You forgot the 7ER fleet. I spoke to the boss of the fleet recently. We have heavy checked (essentially) most every 757 on property and current plans are to have 100 757-200 by the year 2027. We currently have 113 -200's. All -300s are here for the long haul. There will be 767ER retirements coming, but slowly. Long live the best commercial jet ever built!!!!!
