Did anyone go look at his schedule to see what the actual GS trips were? With FAR117 it's impossible to fly more than 100 hours in 28 days, were these GS's just one day, one short leg, positioning type flights?

They couldn't be 4 DTW-NRT or ICN trips, too much time unless they were half dead heads, even still, the total duty time would be too much for FAR117.

No I was too lazy. I looked at the GS#4 saw it was a deadhead followed by one leg home. Assuming that is the shortest trip possible and that was what all 4 greenslips were I came up with the amount. I heard from a linecheck guy that they are buying Captains off as well as FOs so if he had been bough off for half the month it would work out with the FARs

That's not the shortest trip, DTW-ATL for a whopping 1:30 pay is the shortest trip, they have to position the airplanes for ATL-ICN and with any new fleet operating out of two bases, there's always a lot of shuffling airframes around, especially if one breaks.

I looked at GS#4 and he's on reserve, so he's not getting double pay for every trip, and he's not getting bought off, but he is getting paid above the reserve guarantee.

I didn't go back and look up the 3 other GS's he got but I might have time to look at it tomorrow. Sounds like he knows how to use rolling thunder.

There are 21 'Flight Ops Managers' who all easily broke $1 Million last year when they got their 200% Management Incentive Program bonuses.

How does one discover that?

Yes, the entire MIP verbiage and payout schedule was linked, copied and posted to Chit Chat.

Now, about our boy above with GS#4, I just went back and looked up all 4 of his GS trips, he was on reserve so he's getting paid the trip value on top of the reserve guarantee which for April is 79:15 in the DTWA350A category.

His 4 trips added up to a whopping 105:30 block/dh/credit on top of that for a total of 184:45 pay for the month. That is just over $62,000 for the month.

The only way he was FAR117 legal was that one long leg was a DH so he was just under the 100/28 rule.

The DTW A350 guys have figured out how to do GS with conflict as well as rolling thunder. As I went back through the trip assignments for every day in April, there were a ton of conflict assignments, along with H's, M's, F's, and lots of other letters I've never seen before. Hit the F5 Help button at the bottom of the daily trip coverage to see what those letters mean.

Nice! Another way they can do well, is by doing assignments instead of greenslips. With the assignments, they get double pay and don't have to reach the greenslip trigger. I'm sure they already have that figured out. It looks like they can make some serious money until they correct the staffing issue. So many tricks and tactics to make money that I'm sure they will figure out going forward.

Look at the last AE: DTW 350A, no. 444 was bypassed, yet no.125 is going to training.
You’re not being obstinate.....I asked the same question. I was told by crew resources that they also have to bypass people senior. I don’t see that in the contract though........
