Walking up when your zone 1 is called means everything is full 110% of the time.

I do the exact same thing. I've never gotten any pushback, but if I did I'd just stand there until they called main cabin 1 and just hand her my phone back...

Of course you need a quick turn to make it work. Otherwise you're just screwed.

Right but even zone one (or whatever the focus group vernacular used this week is) means you board in a zone that's already 80% full with all the other pre boards/medallions anyway. Assuming you can camp in the very front and agressively crowd out the "I'm not in line but because I don't see you seeing me then I'm actually in line in front of you from behind and to the side of you" you might have a place for your bag.

Two different data points from two different folks.
Either way, it needs to be fixed!

On AA DH's, even us flying for PDT/PSA/ENY, will show up on the NS (Crew list); we can board as soon as they have a full crew alotment - as they consider us 'working crew members.'
I believe this has mentioned before, but wanted to put it all in one spot just incase it is not.

At SWA we can preboard, and thus have plenty of overhead bins (and seats) for the choosing. I know our system is different with no assigned seats, but maybe they could work it out for y’all to preboard before the zones ???
