From what I’ve been hearing in my domestic circles, I think widebody FO will go senior and narrow body captain will go really, really junior. The junior narrow body captains are really tired of the schedules and are tired of the staffing.

Im a 2010 hire and there are only 39 people senior to me with a bid in for LAX320A for 30 positions. LA is going to be the new NY.

1.5 -2 years. Toss up on equipment but I'm thinking either ATLM88A, NYC717A, or NYC220A
Yup, everyone very wary about the LAX trips. That category won't return to normal til the NEO and Hawaii flying arrives.

I’ve been saying that since they announced the 320 base there. Trips are awful, covering SNA makes reserve there horrible, and hotels are just as bad as NYC.

I did the math (source, the list of individual retirements from crew resources), between now and end of the conversion period, there are more WB retirements than posted vacancies. That aside, we are not parking widebody aircraft....shouldn’t the postings be keeping up with retirements.....as well as adding staffing for deliveries?
Ps...I’m only looking at A positions.

320 in SLC has been stagnant, hasn't had new hires on it for years. It's becoming the preferred NB for the younger half of the pilot group. LAX 320 trips have been bad, and many folks are switching to SLC. SEA 7ER has too many FOs, and SLC 7ER has the writing on the wall. I'd expect a good chunk to slide over to the 320. Could take awhile to get a base transfer. 220 & 737 have been allowing newbies to transfer in on their first AEs. Should stay that way.

220, 737, 320. In that order.
