The DC-10 had a ******* house intervalometer for the 5 in a row coach biffies. If flushed all at once they would blow the generators off the line. The short nine's head was left over from the "6". Vacuum sucker hole and all.

I flew the DC-10 as a F/O (School and sim. at AA) and then got a 727 bid, but all the Capts. I flew with who moved on to the 1011, much preferred the Lockheed. Mostly over the electronics. Which may be a little unfair, since our "10's" were delivered with 2 VOR's and 2 ADF's only.
