I keep hearing the date of last contact signing (Dec 16?) has a lot to do with cost of furlough to company.

Can anyone explain? I know people on property get 90 days notice vs 30, but what other costs are there?

If they furlough anyone who was hired before 12/1/16, they have to take 6 seats out of every 76 seat RJ. Lost revenue has to be, at least for the logically-thinking crowd, factored into the decision to furlough.

BS projected 12000-12100 UNA cut off line is about 11/07/2016 class.
So just a tad in, they might shift that line to 12/01/2016 just to avoid that complication.
