While everyone has their own opinion and preferences, if you are a MD88/90 pilot with decent seniority, are you looking at making the most money you can in either seat, similar trip profiles (primarily East of Mississippi flying like the 717 does), staying in a MD aircraft (717), jumping to the expanding 737 base at ATL or open to switching to the French side stick? Just curious at how 88/90 pilots were looking at the bid...

But think of the healthy shiny coat you will be sporting during training after all that scattered, smothered, covered, topped, chunked, diced, peppered and capped goodness. And....they serve more raisin toast than any other institution in America 😁

7200 is the number. Not a stretch. Probably 80% of the whole DTW base was gonna get displaced in the process of the base going from 2000 to 1000 pilots. Easy to see how 60% of the non UNA 11000 pilots need training. They said it would take in excess of three years to pull it off. When we got the 717 and 350 there were colossal OE backups, probably would be this time as well.

Word is they are shooting for maximum 3000 events instead. (Somehow)

Yeah, I’ve heard basically all of this from a trusted source, too.
Simply unbelievable the company thought it wouldn’t be that bad.
