That's almost 3/4 of the airline.
How many can we train a year?
7200 x 50k a pop = 360 million!!! Now add back the 2400 UNA.....
Delta should do the marriage thing......cheaper to keep her

7200 is the number. Not a stretch. Probably 80% of the whole DTW base was gonna get displaced in the process of the base going from 2000 to 1000 pilots. Easy to see how 60% of the non UNA 11000 pilots need training. They said it would take in excess of three years to pull it off. When we got the 717 and 350 there were colossal OE backups, probably would be this time as well.
