My apologies. I'll change my post from JB to the JB MEC. My bad. Again my sincere apologies.

Waiting now for the headline....maybe it goes something like this:
"Jet Blue pilots give concessions to help save company" or something along those lines.

You're right! Instead of us keeping our jobs for a full year almost, let's all of us just get furloughed instead! Screw trying to negotiate anything at all which might save jobs.

This is the equivalent of giving a pilot a gold bar and them complaining it's too heavy. We don't know the details yet, and everyone is speculating that our union has done something wrong. This is the first round of good news I've seen in 4 months and you guys are complaining.

just a few months ago it was "work less but not for less" right? now what appears to be spreading the work around without lowering line gaurentee is being attacked as the worst thing since the B scale.

Well I don’t work for b6. Having said that I am in favor of TEMPORARY alv reduction, credit caps (100ish) and industry standard early outs to avoid furloughs. If you can get a guarantee to avoid them even better. The whole pattern bargaining thing of section 23 language. I was just curious what the language of b6 Loa was so I clicked on the thread. I’ll leave. Good luck.

that is exactly what people were saying on every other major (especially legacy) carrier. If our pay scales weren’t touched why are you guys complaining so much, especially if the full details aren’t out yet.

It’s not like they farmed out 50% of their domestic flying to the lowest bidder

can't help you. some here at DL are so staunchly "no concessions for any reason" they can't see win-win deals. on this forum I have seen numerous people say changing anything, even temporarily, would be the worst thing ever. 1 individual went so far as to call our ERP a concession because it helps the company.

changes to (temporarily) lower how much someone can work over guarantee to spread the work around seems like a no brainer. scope relief need to be met with an ABSOLUTE NO

This whole conversation is ridiculous. We don’t even know the details of the agreement yet. Only then will we know if it was good for the pilot group. That said, as a very junior pilot at JetBlue I am ecstatic to still have a job. I still have the ability to provide (something) for my family, I keep my family’s medical insurance through the holidays. This is a huge deal for my family and I. Was it the right choice from the MEC, still to early to tell. But it sure is funny to watch this thread and see people who work for a company and belong to a union that farms out a huge portion of their flying to the lowest bidder. Which then goes on to pay their pilots (That are flying Delta pax) garbage wages. Might wanna take a long look in the mirror before you start bashing the JetBlue pilot group. Hypocrites.

I agree, and I’m not discounting the fact that it was done without MEMRAT. It’s not my MEC/Air Line (two words /s) that did it, so that’s between you and them, Phil. I honestly hope it’s not as bad as it appears (a significant concession without MEMRAT).

I’m addressing the other Delta pilots that think we are screwed because B6 gave up...(we don’t know).

For all we know, they gave up Dasani water bottles in the pilot lounge to be replaced by Kirkland brand.

Breath and let’s see what happened before we develop a “hot take”.
