Huh? No. I never got the chance to tell them I didn't want the extension. I was just shocked at how disorganized it was. I expired on my day off, yet I still checked icrew even though I had no obligation to. Seeing as I wasn't extended on my normal 90 day expiration, I figured I wasn't extended. I was then off for 12 days. Then, I got a short call assignment. At what point was I supposed to tell them that I didn't want the extension? Since I didn't know I was getting extended, I didn't have the chance to fill out the sim session template in time too. Again, how much notice should we give?

Well I do know that I expired and they paid me no questions asked. I was a bit proactive and emailed the planner and called the CP’s office. I even did it on a day off! I had however had 100 days off prior to that so I sucked it up and spent 5 minutes on my 101st day off working. Took a day or two to recover from that but I am ok now.

This looks like just a different scale of the FDP extension. Because the FAA says it’s allowed, Delta treats it like it’s both assumed and even mandatory.
How easy would it be for the company to add a question to the normal iCrew pop up when you are going to expire regarding the extension? On the same form that you give 14 days of availability, something like: “To accept a recency extension check here:”
