ULC for me. (and I'm in base) A MBL is not a 25 hour SIL? Or a RLL if you pick up hours? I'm confused. How much of this will be offered? Probably no more than the hours savings for 220 lines, if that.

Exactly this. I was called once when I least expected it. Luckily, I could drive. I had just walked off a commuter flight home, got the message, and then hopped right back in the car for a flight the next day. Fun 4 hour drive. No matter how safe you think you are, you aren’t. I moved and can’t drive now, so I avoid reserve because of that nasty memory.

Now they are just throwing together random reserve lines for the 1721 still flying with zero input from the pilots on what days off they need. Apparently legal per the PWA. I know the "family" crap was never real but they don't give a damn about us. Still waiting for those funeral flowers they were sending my family last month...

Sorry about your loss and also sorry about the flowers that didn't make it.

I think you might have a legit complaint if Delta wasn't paying you for the month of Oct....when they signaled furlough was in the cards. The furlough would certainly save them more money. Maybe you can swap around your days off, since they are carrying extra bodies, might be able to do that.

If you really need the days off, I'll bet you could call them up and get the whole month off....no pay of course.

Because you got a furlough notice, you are leverage they have created and will use, don't ever forget it. Condolences.

I think all 1941 were scheduled to convert to UNA on Oct1.

For pilots to even agree to concessions, Delta has to offer more than saving 1721 pilots from furlough. The offer probably comes with a big carrot at the end, I imagine, or some amazing QOL improvement right now. Delta is looking for a small win at this point, an excuse to not go through the onerous process of furloughing. It wants to be able to tell the other employee groups that pilots took some cuts as well -- and tell the media machine that Delta hasn't laid off a single employee. One thing I gathered from Ed on the webcast is that he wants a deal. He mentioned a couple of times that both parties need to go into a room, 'lock the door' and not come out until a deal is hammered out. It sounds like Delta hasn't given its last, best offer and would entertain a counter offer.
