The “30-40%” plateau since Labor Day is pretty amazing to see graphically. The 2020 curve mirrors 2019 almost exactly, minus 60-70%. Makes you wonder who comprises that deficit. My guess is that 10-15% was “very discretionary” travel that won’t return for a decade (recovery after a post-CARES recession/depression).

We’ll be “fully recovered” as a group once we get back to 12,500 active pilots on the seniority list.
I agree. Insightful you addressed the curve. It is a mirror curve to last year only shifted down on the y-axis as you describe. Thanks for the info.

You might want to do a little research about the rest of the world son.
I read more news about the rest of the world than I do about the US. If you believe the numbers out of china I have some ocean front property to sell to you in AZ old man. The comical fact that you resort to trying to minimize someone else's knowledge because you think you know more because you're age is very telling of your ability for critical thinking.

Well..... Actually..... Chinese airlines are hiring again and they have opened their entire country up. And Sweden has left the virus behind. And...... flattening the curve does only prolong the inevitable.

I know, I know in this woke society cooler heads cannot be allowed to prevail. Cooler heads can only be carted off to the guillotine to be rescued from their evil ways by decapitation.

Let's look at the numbers. We are 24th in the world in case fatality rate. Which countries in the top 23 do you suggest we emulate? Italy, the UK, Spain, France, Belgium, or Mexico. Yes Sweden is number 8 but they said from the start that they were going the route they did and their numbers are rapidly declining while ours and the other countries that locked down, not so much.

Yes, however our market is not China or Sweden. Now in South America, Europe, and North America things are not going that way. Covid is one thing but the damaged economy's will be the real lasting impact.

I think his point was that the shutdowns were a mistake and we would be past this by now if we hadn't "flattened the curve" This is what happens when you ignore the "experts".

NY is going to take longer to recover, they are reclosing. Look at FL, they got the spike and now the numbers are more stable, just reopened.

7 areas where ultra religious did not practice good judgement are closing in NYC. Not nearly as bad as media is making it.

How exactly is that throwing stones? So many people are looking at what’s right in front of them they are missing the forest through the trees.
