Im guessing reasons it went so junior are mostly because over time it will be phased out. Coupled with some ugly flying for the low end guys and gals and that may be it.

Well a big part of TOW used to be working with the different OCAs, and with KEF you only work with Gander. They have dumbed down the NATs so much anymore that I honestly don't know how much longer it will really be all that different from a domestic flight anyway. CPDLC and ADS-B have made anything you do instantaneously visible to Big Brother.

About 2 years ago the FAA came down and said no flying domestically until TOE complete

Tunes, you’re an ER instructor right? Any crystal ball insights or random dart throws on when a new ER captain might train? Figure it won’t be anytime soon, but wondering if this fall or next year is the more likely outcome.

gotcha. I apologize. Didn’t realize it was post China virus only...

I know about the 767s in 2025. Has anything been said about the 757s though? I feel like I missed that piece of information.

I suppose those of those lucky enough to have gotten the ER on this bid should probably remember to fill out their displacement bids in the near future.

I do wonder if we are getting more Boeings soon. I feel like we will.

So 2025 for 767s and 2030 for 757s? Subject to change I’m sure as everything has been so fluid in regards to our fleet.

I would bet that if things pick up enough, the 767s will stay til they time out. I think that starts to happen in 2026-2027.

Always have a mandatory displacement bid in, there's no reason no to. I just got an award and already have my MD updated. Just be sure you don't do the voluntary displacement in like a buddy did...
