I’m simply saying people with blemishes who have paid their dues deserve a second chance.

The company will use a flow to encourage longevity at the selected regional. It’s a carrot to show up on time, be good, and stick around. They clearly benefit from this and it isn’t likely a flow down would help more than a handful of delta pilots due to the trickle of the flow back.

I suppose I wasn’t clear enough in my reply to your question about why Delta pilots care about the hiring standards being lowered. It isn’t about the new guys, it’s about us. If we are giving the company something we want to be compensated for that give. The flow back doesn’t cut it.

I know regional pilots who failed captain upgrade training (multiple times), and were made permanent FO’s. These same guys are now posting selfie’s in the cockpit of American Airlines aircraft because they flowed. Plenty of guys with DUI’s and no college education flowing as well.

Who do you hire first? The guy with blemishes or the guy with a clean record? Keep in mind most people with a conviction committed a lot more crimes before getting caught.

Have we restarted Negotiations over a new contract, if so then all these issues can be addressed in a comprehensive agreement. The Company will try and fast track the talks and get a deal done. My opinion
