Seat lock starts at your DOH, as a new hire in sims you can bid anything but they are unlikely to award anything that isn't a base change on same equipment due to lock.

Your seat lock has nothing to do with starting sims. Any pilot is eligible to bid on an AE even if they start indoc the day the bid closes. You will not be able to bid to change airplanes until after your 12 month anniversary. You can bid for a base change on your originally assigned aircraft on any AE.

This is not true. You can bid to change airplanes five minutes after an AE award if you want. The distinction is the company doesn't have to AWARD you what you bid unless your 12 or 24 month as appropriate "lock" is expired. Seat locks don't mean you "can't bid." Anybody can bid anything at any time. And there are cases where the company has waived seat locks and awarded bids when it's to their advantage. It's like Lotto. You can't win if you don't play!

Early-mid January. From what I have read, it’s 4 months from CJO to class date. I’m an early August, and haven’t heard yet. Anticipating a potential call in the next 3 weeks with a class date for early-mid December.
