I have a friend who is an April 24 CJOand still waiting on a class date. I believe all the invites for the 1/8 class have gone out. We should know more in the next few weeks about the next class after that.

This is kinda ridiculous... 9 months to start a job you've been "hired for" SMH, only in this industry because of the earnings potential can a company get away with putting your life on hold for nearly a year without paying a cent. Very disrespectful IMHO. I was 3 months back in the day and thought that was a long time. I'm saying it out loud because no pooly will. SHAME!

Hiring slowed down. This is normal in the hiring cycle, my friend waited 1 month from interview to class, I had to wait 2, others wait 5-6 months and some people a year or two.

If you see around, United will hire less than 700 next year, DAL about 1,000 and AA I believe 1500. No LCC, ULCC and FedEx are hiring. I don’t think UPS will hire more than 4-500 pilots. Even the regionals are barely hiring.

We are back to normal hiring and practices.

We’re only hiring ~515 in 2025 now. According to the c48 newsletter.

That said, just like all those years of "we're going to smaller/more frequent bids," I only believed it when they finally did it.
