junior 330b right now is a 2017 hire. Kinda doubt it will drop mower than the bottom UNA as NB B a look at getting out of our optimized schedules.
765NYC might happen. Junior on that is a 2019 hire and it has a lot more domestic which probably makes it less desirable compared to the 330.

IDK tho I’m just guessing.

I guess it depends if it’s a flow class, I assume it is. There were 20 something posted earlier on the aircraft awards, plus I assume 20 flows(they bid separately, in line with their actual seniority date), so still 40-odd people, roughly in line with what we’ve seen since October. I guess we will know in a week when ALPA posts the welcome pic.

if that’s the case then that’s a class of 46 and would be great!

WRT flows. Do their drops show up on their seniority date (IE would a flow with a hire date of 9/17 have show up on the 9/17 drop list) or is it separate from the OTS hires?

Unless there’s just too many people with seat locks, I doubt it. Too many people looking to get out of the NB B grind. I’ve been wrong before though.

Not to mention the new flavor of the month virus might be forcing the company to update their staffing models for next summer. Japan did a total 180 in about 2 days when they went from opening up to business travelers and students to telling airlines to stop accepting new reservations. I haven't looked at Europe but it sounds like they are tightening restrictions too. Who would book an international trip in this environment? I know someone that is traveling overseas to go to his home and missed a possible 10 day government quarantine by 14 hours. A week before this wasn't even a possibility. It literally happened that fast. Does anyone really think this madness ends next year? Would anyone be surprised if the wide body numbers are dramatically pared down from what they should be in the next AE?

Lol... Ok....

Let's just hope wait for this "big" 330 bid that we have yet to see before we start talking about new hires going 330 because we have A's more junior than 330 B's right now lol

ER went from a two year wait to newhire right before covid. Not saying it means we see NH 330B right away, but a few moving pieces can see it drop, especially if enough are tempted for NB A for one reason or another, I did notice some Junior WB B awarded pilots go NB A on the most recent AE. There’s still two 365-bids up their sleeves before the double bidding UNAs from the April AE are unlocked too.

I kind of doubt 330B goes to NH soon..

I can't hold 330B anywhere but can (and do) hold NB A on multiple fleets in NYC and I think multiple bases too for the 717.

My logic was my trips as a 60% or so NYC 7ERB were lots of 3/4 leg got garbage and coverage awards.

If I'm gonna have to do a crap schedule (I seriously had better trips at 90% pre covid) might as well make more and stay as far from international Covidiocy for now, as I am unvaccinated and don't want to play the overseas games. Its bad enough in NYC.

Is there a seat lock between the 7ER and 765 categories?
